T’was the night before Christmas, when all through the house,
I heard something clanging, is it a mouse?
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, with ribbons from my race medals; that shouldn’t be there.
I searched for this year’s race medals when should have been in my bed, as visions of paid race entries danced in my head.
But nah, my dog is wearing her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap,
had just settled our brains after buying race crap.
When in the game room arose such a clatter, I ran upstairs to see what was the matter.
Away to the desk I flew like a flash, got to the computer just as it crashed.
It was almost Christmas and I was out of time, no cheap early race entry to purchased I had not a dime.
Then what to my wondering eyes should appear, a glass of wine for some holiday cheer.
As I looked around the room what did I see? Medals and awards that were dear to me.
In the picture below is my end of year in review. I hope this year was fruitful and kind to you too.
It’s getting late and as always I have an early flight. To all many blessings, and have a good night.
